fIRTree: An Item Response Theory Modeling of Fuzzy Rating Data

In this contribution we describe a novel procedure to represent fuzziness in rating scales terms of fuzzy numbers. Following the rationale conversion scale, adopted two-step based on psychometric model (i.e., Item Response Theory-based tree) process answer survey questions. This provides coherent context where numbers, and related fuzziness, can be interpreted decision uncertainty that usually affects rater's response process. We reported results from simulation study an empirical application highlight characteristics properties proposed approach.
